We’re taking part in the Alder Hey Mascot Grand National 2026 to help raise money to support the tens of thousands of children whose lives have been saved or improved by Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Taking place on May 15th on the world-famous Aintree Racecourse, the fun event features mascots racing to raise funds for the hospital.
All race goers wear their own costume to compete in this unique community event.
We’ll have two mascots in the race inspired by our brands Branston Beans and Princes Tuna Chunks.
‘Princey’ and ‘5 Star Beany’ will be getting under starter’s orders to tackle the short hurdle race. They’ll be joined by Alder Hey’s mascot Oli the Elephant as well as other competitors.
Rigorous training for this prestigious event may or may not have taken place but regardless we will be wishing Princey and 5 Star Beany all the best.
We’re proud to be taking part in this event, which raises funds to help to support the 450,000 patients and families cared for at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital – which is an iconic part of our home city of Liverpool.
