Agata joined Princes in 2016 originally as a 12-month maternity cover role – and never left. Today, she is a Senior Marketing Manager and works as part of our team in our office in Warsaw, Poland. She says:
I love working for Princes and the Polish office is a very special place. We’re a small, strong team of people with a great sense of humour and coming into work is a pleasure.
Princes has a number of European brands and one I’m particularly passionate about is our Wielkopolski cooking oil brand, which is produced in the Wielkopolska region in Szamotuly.
‘Wielkopolski Wie’ is our new advertising slogan and it means ‘Wielkopolski knows’. It centres around our expertise in selecting the best grains and the importance of pressing them only once for a distinguished oil with a golden hue and a delicate flavour. Wielkopolski is an expert and ‘knows’ (‘Wie’) everything you need to know to prepare the best food!
It was great to be part of the team creating the new campaign and liaising with design and creative agencies to bring it all to life. The process of shaping a consistent brand image requires a strategic blend of creativity and analytics to ensure a positive brand perception which, in the long term, brings extra value for the company. This process is what I particularly love about my job.
I’ve got a number of proudest professional moments and these include seeing the brand growing in terms of recognisability and purchase intent, and being listed for the first time with discounters which led to a doubling of our market share.
More recently Wielkopolski was shortlisted for an Effie marketing award, which is one of the most recognisable awards in marketing, for the best, most creative and most effective campaign.
In my team we also create new products, most recently Wielkopolski mayonnaise, which tastes amazing. It’s great to see something you’ve been working on available for our consumers to buy and to hear how much they like it.
I really enjoy cooking and I love our Wielkopolski brand. I use it most days in my cooking, whether I’m frying, baking or putting together a salad dressing. I even blend it with lemon juice and a fresh egg to create a wonderful hair mask to nourish my hair. It’s my grandmother’s recipe and it makes your hair look amazing.
In my free time I enjoy Yoga and Pilates, I play chess and take care of my two dogs. I’m a volunteer in “SHE” organisation where we create educational, motivational, and mentoring programmes to activate young women in difficult situation, so that they learn that they can be independent and create their future.
